Cloth Talk #18: The Only Cherokee Round…

Cherokee 50 R1aThanks to the guys at ScoutHistory.net Cloth Talk #18 is now available for downloading either through iTunes or by direct download at http://www.scouthistory.net/blog/.

After episode 17, with its discusison of the memorabilia of my lodge, the Cloth Talk folks return to the roots of their lodge:

This episode Tim, Ben and Chris visit with Julian Simmons an old friend and long-time member of Cherokee Lodge Fifty. (Now merged into Coosa.) Julian tells us about this WAB featured Lodge’s patch issues, fakes and gives us a glimpse of why they were always such a challenging Lodge to collect.

There is a chance I may be appearing on a future episode of Cloth Talk soon.     I’ll share the details if and when it happens.    This would be my second appearance on the show as I made a brief appearance on one of the post-NOAC shows.

By the way… a note to    Chris Brightwell:   It’s  Tsoiotsi Tsogalii lodge.     It’s pronounced just like it’s spelled. :)   All the consonants and vowels are pronounced, without dipthongs or blends, the ‘o’ is long and the ‘i’ is pronounced like in “pizza”.     Put the accent on the third syllable of the first word, and second syllable of the second word.

I started to flesh out the Tso. Tso. article… We have 1300 people in the lodge, surely there’s some Cloth Talk listerners or OAImages blog readers who can fill it in?

    Anyone listening??
