LLD Fundraiser Jacket Patch

70lld07.jpgTsoiotsi Tsogalii 70 stretches the line between an events patch and a lodge issue with this newest jacket patch.     I am undecided whether we should properly call this one J5 or eJ2007-1.

This 6″ jacket patch depicts Allowat Sakima in the style of a Cherokee “peace chief”.   It was produced with the specific intent of using the proceeds to fund the lodge’s LLD weekend.

Each LLD participant and staff member  received one.   Additional patches are sold to any lodge member who has the requisite amount of money.   The LLD logo and year (2007) are included in the design, but no event is explicitly named.

Issue Bdr Color/Type Bkgd Name fdl/BSA Comments
J5? RED R M/C DBL LBL fdl;  2007, LLD logo

The plan is to issue a new jacket patch each year, producing just enough to fund the following year’s LLD weekend.

What do you all think?   Lodge issue, or event issue?

I do have a few extras for trade… but it will cost you. ;)

My 2-cents worth. Issued for a specific week-end event (LLD) and dated to be used only for this one specific years event….makes it an event patch in my book. If it was made with the purpose of being used for additonal LLD events, then it would be a J and not an eJ.

[...] As with the 2007 issue, I am unsure whether this should be listed as an event piece (eJ2008-1?) or a regular lodge issue (J6?).   For now I am calling it J6 but that may change. [...]
