NC State 83 — UNC 79

Is this the end of the world as we know it? ;)
Since UNC’s last loss, I failed to post here on several of the more recent games. Unfortunately, I break my silence by commenting on another UNC loss.
NC State clearly controlled this game from the start. Their victory was more decisive than the score would seem to indicate. NC State twice lead by as much as 10 points. UNC only very briefly held narrow leads. Were it not for NC State’s inability to sink late free-throws the score would have been more lopsided.
They drop to 20-3 and will certainly drop in the poll rankings. I’ve not much to say about this one. Read Yahoo! Sports’ coverage of the game. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves as I indulge in some nice RED wine to go along with my dinner tonight.
Perhaps this will be the inspiration the Tarheels need for their game this Wednesday against dook.
In an unrelated story, the Iona Gaels (now 1-22) beat the Rider Broncos by a score of 69-57 to secure their first win of the season. Is the world as we know it about to end?
