Update: Haudenosaunee 19 and Loon 364 Merger

Posted in OAImages News by John E. Pannell on February 13th, 2007 at 6:17 pm

I just received this message from John Tegtmeier:

You all probably know this information already, but here’s a heads up in case. The merger between Haudenosaunee 19 (Twin Rivers Council #364) and Loon 364 (Adirondack Council #394) appears a done deal. Twin Rivers Council #364 is continuing its recent pattern and keeping its name and number. The new lodge, Kittan 364, has the advantage of having the Twin Rivers Council number and the Loon lodge number. So Lodge 19 is gone.

I followed the OA link from Twin Rivers Council to: http://people.clarkson.edu/~birdps/kittan_lodge/

There are no patches yet for this lodge… at least none I know of.

This new lodge has quite the merger history!   It’s one of the more complicated ones out there:

Kittan (364): from merger of Haudenosaunee 19 and Loon 364

Haudenosaunee 19: from merger of Ganienkeh 19 and Wakpominee 48

Ganienkeh 19: from merger of Sisilija 19 and Ganienkeh 181

Sisilija 19: Changed name from Buffalo 19 in 1920s?

Ganienkeh 181: from merger of Nischa Nimat 181, Ta-Oun-Ya-Wat-Ha 268 and Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea 418

Nischa Nimat 181: from merger of Mahikan 181 and Mohawk 267 Mahikan 181: absorbed Mohawks 27 in 1944

Thay-En-Da-Ne-Gea 418: changed name from Nick Stoner 418 in 1953

Those who want to collect the entire history of this lodge have their work cut out for them!

A new  page will be added to the site for this lodge in due time.
