Lodge 134: New Jacket Patch, Dance and Drum Segments Issued

Tsali has issued a new jacket patch and three segments designed to be worn with it. While the jacket patch has no explictly specific purpose, the segments are all related to the lodge’s Dance and Drum teams championships.
The three segments are “Group Dance Champions 2006 Dixie”, “Group Dance National Champions 2006 NOAC”, and “Southern Drum Third Place 2006 NOAC”.
None of the segments have anything on them to indicate they’re issues of Tsali lodge. This could cause confusion in the future should they be found separate from the jacket patch.
Addressing this and other issues about these segments, Hank Birdsong wrote me:
There are 50 drum strips & 75 Dixie & national dance champ strips. You’re right, there could be confusion, but it shouldn’t be too hard to figure out since there is a date. Sort of like the Wahissa Wiliwilihan strip- no lodge name…
We will have ~45 jackets for the dance / drum teams that will have backpatch & strips sewn on. There are around 22 on the dance team, plus advisers, lodge chief, supporters, etc. that will get jackets (Mountain Hardwear, no less!!). Anyway, the jackets will take ~fifty of the J4 out of circulation, ~30-40 dance team strips & ~14 drum strips. The guys on the team can buy 1 or 2 extras, the rest will be sold to lodge members, at events only, one each…

Tsali Backpatch Strips
The new Tsali J4 has the three strips that John described & more may be on the way. For the immediate future there will be a strip for any first place (Team) winners at Dixie in Ceremonies, Dance or Drum, and Strips for 1st - 3rd finishes at NOAC. There may be strips added for Elangomats, Lodge Officers or Chapter Chiefs, but that is yet to be discussed, much less decided.
