Cloth Talk #24: Patch trader, collector… No: Historian

Posted in Scouting Blogs and Websites by John E. Pannell on February 26th, 2007 at 3:27 pm

Thanks to the guys at ScoutHistory.net, Cloth Talk #24 is now available for downloading either through iTunes or by direct download at http://www.scouthistory.net/blog/. Remember, you do not need to have iTunes installed in order to listen to Cloth Talk. They also have a dialup-friendly version available for those who do not have high speed internet connections.

As the Cloth Talk guys tell us:

“This episode brings us part-one of our chat with master trader, collector, and scouting historian: Bill Topkis. What a great interview! We had so much great material from our talk with Bill that we’ve split it up into two episodes. Be on the lookout for part-two of this great conversation next time, here on ClothTalk.”

As someone who has known Bill for several years, I can say he is a walking fount of knowledge about the OA’s history in its insignia.  It is certainly an interview worth hearing at least once or twice

Also, a Southern boy goes skiing… New York City!?

Also, for those of you on Facebook, there is now a group for those of us who listen to Cloth Talk. Join it and spread the word!

    Greetings!

SKYPE seemed to work much better for you this week - you sounded less like you were on a helium buzz, and more like you were from Long Island! I keep forgetting, that you’re NOT a ‘good ol’ boy’ by BIRTH, at least. ;-)
