Cloth Talk #26: Easter Egwa

Thanks to the guys at ScoutHistory.net, Cloth Talk #26 is now available for downloading either through iTunes or by direct download at http://www.scouthistory.net/blog/. Remember, you do not need to have iTunes installed in order to listen to Cloth Talk. They also have a dialup-friendly version available for those who do not have high speed internet connections.

Now back on their usual fortnightly schedule, the Cloth Talk guys tell us:

“This week, Ben and Tim chat with special guest, Kenney Barton, the SR-6S Section Vice Chief (and member of Egwa Tawa Dee lodge) about his experience in Scouting, the upcoming conclave, and some of the patches that have meant the most to him over the years. Also, learn with us what his Vigil name really means, and why he has it.”

I’m back  after recovering from the “Tarheel flu”.   How many collectors can you fool with a “Photoshopped” image of a patch that never existed?   I’m told payback will be painful.

"I have been asked to talk about what I consider the most important challenge facing mankind, and I have a fundamental answer. The greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propaganda. Perceiving the truth has always been a challenge to mankind, but in the information age (or as I think of it, the disinformation age) it takes on a special urgency and importance"
