SR-7B Conclave This Weekend
Occoneechee 104 will be hosting the SR-7B Conclave at Camp Durant this coming weekend, April 20-22. I hear Occoneechee has been working hard to make this an experience to be remembered.
For a few personal reasons, I will not be officially attending the conclave for the first time in 14 years. However, I am planning to visit sometime on Saturday afternoon and evening.
I’m sure it will seem unbelievable to some, but I don’t have nearly the interest in trading for new issues that I used to have. Of course, I will want to add scans to this site. I will report on all new issues here on this blog. Beyond that, my trading will be “casual” and subdued compared to years past. I’m looking forward to actually watching others trade for a change. Now if someone has a new bullion that I need… that’s a different story altogether!
Brandon Ellis, a fellow lodge 70 brother and a roving reporter for Cloth Talk, plans to be there interviewing the attendees. Watch out for him. I may also bring my camera and try to get some pictures of the various events… and trading.
See you at Camp Durant on April 21st!

This single statement took the scientific world by storm. It completely revolutionized it. So many mathematical conferences got held in such good restaurants that many of the finest minds of a generation died of obesity and heart failure and the science of math was put back by years."

That’s right guys… I will be looking to chat with anyone and everyone who is trading patches. We can just chat or you can tell me your whole life story. Then we’ll post it online in one of our upcoming podcasts! I’ll be hanging around the trading area with a microphone and hopefully doing a good job of standing out, so come and see me! Thanks again John for puting the word out.
….and while all other hunters of the cloth are having fun, I will be lost all week-end in the trading post selling memorabilia so come there to trade with me…PLEASE!!!!! Oh, and BTW, there is a Trading Post Staff patch….Before anyone asks….Yes it was approved by our LEC, and where can you get it? Ya gotta trade with a Tradin’ Post Staffer and yes it’s only a limited amount of these to go around. I’ve sent John the image to post. Other specific committee patches approved were one for the Camp Site Host & one for the Cook Crew.
We hope this will be an enjoyable conclave for everyone. Look forward to tradin’ with you in the Tradin’ Post!!
