Lodge 188: Recent Odd-Shapes Untangled

Posted in Itibapishe Iti Hollo 188, SR-5 Lodges by John E. Pannell on May 8th, 2007 at 4:13 am

I  recently wrote about Itibapishe Iti Hollo’s recent Dixie Fellowship issues.     In that post, I had said I was uncertain of the number of one of the pieces because I was confused about recent NOAC issues from this lodge.     I thought I knew the flaps well, but the odd-shaped patches left me confused.

Jimmy  Arthurs and David Cody were able  to dispel my confusion and supply images of most of the recent issues.   Thanks, guys.

Several items had been excluded from my site before now.   At least one of these items may not exists and I am awaiting verification.   I’ve had to renumber some things on my website, include a patch mentioned in a recent blog post.   What I labelled the “X11?”, the 2007 Dixie “bus” is renumbered as “X13?”.

The Blue Book listings for the affected items should be as follows:

Issue Bdr Color/Type Bkgd Name fdl/BSA Comments
S51.5? SMY R M/C BLK GRN fdl; NOAC 2004; with X8?, issued as one piece
S52           (already listed in Blue Book)
S53? BLU R YEL RED WHT fdl; NOAC 2006, top for X10? and X11?
S54? RED R LBL RED BLU fdl; NOAC 2006, top for X12?
X6? BLK R M/C BLK GRN fdl; 2004 NOAC, tipi
X7? BLK R M/C BLK GRN fdl; 2004 NOAC; dancer
X8? SMY R M/C BLK GRN fdl; NOAC 2004, dancer, bottom to S51.5?, issued as one piece
X9?  M/C C M/C   YEL fdl;  Dixie 2006,  shark
X10? BLU R M/C RED ORG fdl;  NOAC 2006, Arena, bottom to S53?
X11? BLU R M/C RED ORG fd;  NOAC 2006, Chapel, bottom to S53?
X12? RED R LBL RED BLU fdl; 2006 NOAC,  Lone Scout Memory Lodge, bottom for S54?
X13? BLK C M/C BLK LGY fdl; Dixie 2007, shaped like mini-bus

The S51.5?+X8? were issued after NOAC as a single joined piece.     It can be argued this should be just X8.   This was sold as a fundraiser for the lodge.   Like many others, I ordered a few sets but I never received them.     I have heard there were numerous problems with delivery of orders.     As such, I have not been overly eager to support this lodge since.

All these images, except the “X7?”, are now on the main part of this site.   Please feel free to send an image of the “X7?” if you can.

I’d call that just the X8. No cut line, no way to separate the two parts with each having a border. It’s a big X designed to look like a flap/chevron set, but it’s a single patch.
