Yet Another Late NOAC Flap
This is the lastest installment in what is becoming a semi-regular series of posts on patches issued late for last Summer’s National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC).
This latest item is an issue from Karankawa 307. Thanks to George Patton for supplying the image of this piece.
Like most of the late NOAC patches, this was issued to commemorate a competition won by the lodge or its members. In this case, the lodge’s drum team won the 2006 NOAC “Native American Team Singing” competition, as the flap says.
The image of this flap came to me a few weeks ago, but I delayed putting it on this blog as I covered the conclave issues from lodges in my part of the country. That has worked out fine as I have since been told this flap won’t be issued until Karankawa’s Summer fellowship!
Are we finally done with 2006 NOAC issues? Who will issue the first NOAC 2009 patch?

Man..this is going to open a can of worms when dealing with patch making. It is not all bad though. At least by making a patch for NOAC victories will help people in the lodge remember what and when was accomplished at that NOAC.
There is honestly a flap and patch everything these days.
Any bets until how long it takes someone makes a flap for being the 1st lodge to submit their charter renewal to national?
Perhaps a flap made for the lodge chief’s birthday?
Maybe a flap to commemorate a new issue of a flap?
Any takers on a 365 patch issue to mark the 100th anniversary of a future lodge anniversary with the theme “On this day…”
I’m editing this post. Seems this flap is not issued yet and won’t be until the lodge’s Summer fellowship!
