2007 World Jamboree Patches
This Summer the 21st World Jamboree willl be hosted by the Scout Association of the United Kingdom at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex. Aprroximately 3,200 Scouts and leaders from the BSA will be joining the world Scouting centennial celebrations at this jamboree.
A handful of lodges have issued patches for this event, lead by Black Eagle 482 which has issued three flaps and an odd-shape, plus a prototype and a rejected flap.
- Egwa Tawa Dee 129: S73?
- Aal-Pa-Tah 237: (two flaps)
- O-Shot-Caw 265: (two flaps)
- Talidandaganu’ 293: S44?
- Amangamek Wipit 470: S113?
- Black Eagle 482: F12?, F13?, F14?, QF2?, X15?, YF2?
- Yokahu 506: (one flap)
As far as I know, the Talidandaganu’ flap was the first 2007 World Jamboree.
The Black Eagle flaps have the distinction of being the first flaps, that I know of, to be embroidered on linen. Perhaps some classic issues are on linen but I can’t think of any right now. They’re certainly the first “modern” patches to be made this way.
Do you know of any patches not on this list? Is your own lodge issuing any patches for this jamboree? If so, please let me know. If you can also supply scans of those patches, that would be even better. I am sure there are others already out that are not either on this list or on this site.
If there appears to be a significant number of issues for this Jamboree, I may create a page on the site like I already do for the BSA’s National Jamboree and NOACs.

I’ve seen on a poplar auction site that 508 Tu-Cubin Noonie has what is being called a World Jamboree Flap, at least that’s the way it is being listed.
Occoneechee Lodge 104 had a proposal brought forth to the LEC a few weeks ago and it was rejected. They rejected the proposal before they ever saw the design which was done by a professional artist. A contingent leader for the NC contingent contracted with the artist to do the design which was submitted to the Lodge Patch Committee for consideration. The contingent wanted to split profits with the lodge and use the flap for fund-raiser for the contingent. The youth didn’t like that idea….thus no flap from 104.
