TOR Update: Too Many Patches?

Posted in Patch Collecting, Personal Stuff by John E. Pannell on June 28th, 2007 at 8:31 pm

Dave S. is meeting me at my home tomorrow around noon and then we head south to the SC Summer TOR.   So, tonight I’m frantically trying to organize things and get ready.

Remembering something about “Be Prepared“, I decided to try to scan something with my scanner connected to my laptop.   I’m glad I did.   The drivers from HP were not installed, and I couldn’t find the CDROM with them.   That was no real problem tonight as I could just download them from hp.com.   It would have been a problem if I waited until Friday evening to test it.   Remember, “Be Prepared.”

I’ve also been trying to gather together my bullion collection so I can display it.   I knew some weren’t in frames and I also just recently acquired a couple of new ones.   I didn’t really realize how disorganized I was, until I was unable to quickly find a lot of good quality piece I knew I had:  470 YB1, 265 B1-B4, 482 B1-B2, even the 104 bullions, and others.   I already have them in 12 of Streamwood’s boxware frames and probably need six more to house the remaining loose ones.

I have patches scattered all about my office, tucked in various places and largely disorganized right now.  Do I have too many patches, or am I just hopelessly disorganized?

I am going to bring a few things from up here for possible trading.   I’m really bringing only a few things.   To be honest, unless it’s a new bullion I’m really not too terribly interested in getting most things of late.   I’ll have some of 70’s more recent issues including our various jacket patches.   If you have something that catches my fancy, perhaps we can make a deal.

I have one more story to tell later tonight: off-topic, but funny.   I look forward to seeing some of you Friday and Saturday.

What? A TOR with no wifi? Lame.

If you need a TOR with wifi, come visit us this November 17 in the Gary Laermer Pavilion at Orbach Arena, Camp Alpine, NJ.

The Gary Laermer Pavilion at Orbach Arena has wifi access at no charge (or at least it did last year). Need to check that eBay auction, OAimages, ClothTalk or the New York OA Trader blog while your there? We have you covered.
