Alabama, eh?

Ahoy, traders! (No, I’m not really a pirate.)

Many of you know me, or at least know of me, from my work with The Scout History Project and Coosa Shows. The youngest member of the blog.oaimages.com crew (I just turned 25), I’m here to help John keep up with issues from Coosa Lodge. My work here will basically be in tandem with my work on organizing and publishing Coosa Lodge information on The Scout History Wiki (which I’ll often simply refer to as “the wiki”).

As a collector, I almost exclusively deal in Coosa Lodge and the three lodges it came from (Kaskanampo, Cherokee, and Achunanchi). I used to trade for just about anything, but I’ve since focused my collecting. If you’re interested in a bit of my personal Scouting history, take a minute to read my user page at The Scout History Wiki.

With a heavy focus on Coosa and what I call “the old lodges”, my posts here are likely to be few and far between. If there’s something you’d like me to cover, specifically, leave a comment and let me know!

Hello everyone. I am Jeff Ansley and I have agreed to become the Oregon W1A contributor to OA Images Blog. I will from time to time post information about new Oregon issues and write about some past issues. Any questions or if you would like to see posted about Oregon OA, feel free to to ask.

A little about myself. I am 44 years old as of July 4th. My father is a retired Marine so I have had scouting experience in 4 different locations - Irvine CA, Arcata CA, Twentynine Palms CA, and Beaverton OR. I graduated college from Oregon State University (GO Beavers - Back to Back CWS Champions). I am also a Marine and Army Reservist. I am a Vigil Member of Wauna La-Mon’Tay 442 and an Eagle Scout Silver Palm. I also am a Woodbadge Buffalo and Silver Beaver.

I have been a member of the following lodges: Cahuilla 127, Skyloo 442, Cole Snass Lamatai 259, Tsisqan 253, Ashie 436, Walamootkin 336 and Wauna La-Mon’Tay 442. I collect any OA from the Western Region with special focus on the Pacific NW and Far East.

Enough about me - Stay tuned to Oregon OA news.
