New Contributing Authors
A few days ago I put out a call for volunteer contributors to this blog, looking primarily for writers willing to cover new issues from their areas like I try to do with the lodges of SR-7B (Eastern NC) and SR-5 (Western NC, SC, and a sliver of GA). I am pleased to say that several have taken up this challenge
By way of a very brief introduction, they are:
Jeff Ansley, an active Northwest OA collector, has agreed to cover the lodges of Oregon, with emphasis on those in W-1A (Lo La’Qam Geela, Tsisqan, and Wauna La-Mon’Tay).
Chris Brightwell, known for his contributions to Cloth Talk and the Scout History Wiki, will cover Coosa 50 and its predecessor lodges.
Nick DeMarco, a Scouter and collector from New Jersey, will cover Japeechen 341.
Robert Mathis, well known to those in Florida collecting circles, has agreed to take on the lodges of Florida. He also has an interest in section produced items from that state, material beyond the scope of Blue Book.
David Scocca, a fellow Tarheel, has agreed to cover Nentico 12 (his home lodge). He also maintains the Northeast Region OA Patches website.
I want to thank them all in advance for their gracious contributions.
Two other areas are already covered in their own separate blogs. Bill Mulrenin covers New York OA issues. Matt Kirkland writes about Black Eagle lodge. Links to both these blogs can be found on this site’s Blog Roll on the right side of the page.
Anyone else interested in contributing here? On a personal level, I’d like to see someone take on the Georgia lodges as, even though they’re close by, I receive little information on their issues. It would also be nice to hear from someone in the northern plains, the old Region 10, another area of the country not well covered on this site.
