Wauna La-Mon’Tay 442, 2006 Activity Issues

442-2006set.jpgHere is the second in my series of activity patches from 442 Wauna La-Mon’Tay.   In 2006 the lodge again decided to issue patches for their 3 major events.

The general concept of the design was a medicine wheel with two feathers dangling from it.   The first event patch was issued for the Native American Arts & Ceremonis Seminar.   As you can tell it was left hand feather.   About 500 of theses were made and siince the events only had 150-200 attendees there were left over patches.

The next event was the Rendezvous of the Order.   At this event we issued the medicine wheel portion of the grand design.   A funny story happened with this patch.   When the design was sent to National Supply for production they screwed up the first run.   about 250 to 300 of these were produced.   Since our lodge is not in the habit of retuning patches just to see them sold thru other means we negotiated and kept the patches.   The correct version came to us two weeks later.   Both of the patches were available at the Rendezevous.   The error became a staff/thank you gift patch and the correct version was issued to all attendees.   The error patch is sold out and a few of the correct version are still available in the Trading Post.

Wauna La-Mon'Tay 442 eR2006-3The last patch issued was the right hand feather of the design.   It was issued for the Leadership Development Conference.   It is not as busy as the first feather and was slightly overproduced.   500 were made and 250 were issued.   Suffice it to say that the trading post still has these also.

So  because of the error patch, 4 patches were issued instead of three.   Thankfully no variaties exist.   Next up 2004.

Which round is the error? Can we assume the one with the green in the central part of the design (shown individually) is the corrected design?

The round without the buttonloop is the error. In my humble opinion I think the error looks better than the corrected version.
