Lodge 104: 70th Anniversary Patches
Occoneechee lodge will issue two more patches this weekend in honor of their 70th anniversary. Thanks to Greg Grimes for sending me the images of these pieces.
Both patches feature modern reinterpretations of classic Occoneechee patch elements. The arrows protruding from a circle and thunderbird were separately used in early lodge issues. See the lodge’s R1 through R7 for examples of these.
Other than the size of the patches, and the loop on the smaller arrowhead, both patches share an identical design.
The Blue Book listings for these two issues should read as follows:
| Issue | Bdr Color/Type | Bkgd | Name | fdl/BSA | Comments | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| A4? | BLK | C | LGY | DYL | BLK | fdl; 1937 2007 70th Anniversary |

"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things."
"I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."
