Lodge 104: New LLD Issues

Posted in Occoneechee 104, SR-7B Lodges by John E. Pannell on November 19th, 2007 at 12:33 am

Occoneechee lodge held its annual LLD course this past weekend. Two new patches were issued for those there. One was for course participants and the other for staff.

I’m in a bit of a quandry over how to catalog these pieces. Similar issues from 2006 were used for that year’s LLD, but did not specificaly name that event. I understood last year that the LLD patches were intended to be used for several years and so listed them as lodge issues (R18?, R19?).

This year’s patches are similar. Rather than denote an event they indicate an arrowman either is LLD trained or staffed such training. They’re more of an award patch than an event patch. They also could have a multi-year life span. Can anyone confirm or deny the lodge’s intentions on this? So, until instructed otherwise, I’m going to listed these as lodge issues.

Blue Book data for these two issues are as follows:

Issue Bdr Color/Type Bkgd Name fdl/BSA Comments
A5? BLK C M/C RED PUR fdl; LLD, Trained Arrowman
A6? BLK C M/C RED PUR fdl; LLD Staff, Trained Arrowman
