duWayne Amen sent me the follow message about an upcoming Trade-o-Ree.

******

The 14th annual ‘Old Hickory’ Trade-O-Ree is coming up on December 22, 2007 from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM at Summit School in Winston-Salem.This year’s event will be held in the classroom building (teaching/learning center) where we use to be located because our gym is surrounded by construction.

The vendors will be spaced evenly between the two rooms so no one is left out.

As usual; you may purchase breakfast & lunch on site, admission is free, tables rent for $5.00 each and we will have a raffle and door prizes. (There will be an) auction this year.

Contact me soon if you desire a table as space may be limited this year.

We look forward to seeing you next month.

Yours in Scouting,

I have put a copy of the Trade-o-Ree (TOR) Flyer and a map to TOR site online for anyone interested in going. Both are MS Word documents.

Unfortunately I won’t be going again this year. This TOR tends to fall too close to Christmas for me as I’m usually  out of town for Christmas when it comes around. This time, instead of travelling, I’ll be in Chapel Hill at the Carolina game, delaying my trip to the coast until after that.

I did go last year. It’s a good local show for those of us who collect North Carolina and Dixie items and a great chance to meet up with friends and acquaintances.   It’s easily accessible to folks in the Carolinas, northern Georgia, and western Virginia.  The brothers of Wahissa lodge do a very good job with this show.
