Do You Know What a Zombie Is?

This was sent to me by one of my brothers. I can’t resist tweaking a reader or two here…

Does anyone know what movie this was from? This is proof that the Hollywood crowd wasn’t always filled with mindless liberal celebrities. Once there were great comedians who had a sense of humor. ;)
It is kind of odd, though. As this would appear to have been made sometime right around World War 2 when a Democrat president and congress were in power as our military secured us victory. While it’s a great joke today, in my opinion, I wonder how it played then.

  1. Robert Ross Says:

The movie is The Ghost Breakers, and is from 1940. Were I to guess, this *may* have been a jab at Democrats because FDR was in the process of violating one of the “sacred rules” of the presidency, that of following the tradition set by George Washington of serving only two terms.

It is indeed ironic that this clip would be so stunningly accurate in its current portrayal of Democrats. Their mindless dislike of “Dubya” and their complete political investment in defeat in Iraq (thus forcing them to ensure defeat happens, lest they be looked upon as being stupid…oh, wait…nevermind) show them to be indeed zombie-like in their actions. This blind opposition was even parodied by non-other than Dave Barry in one of his past annual reviews, when in once instance he claimed that George W. Bush said “what a lovely day” and the Democrat leadership immediately issued a press release to the contrary (or something like that).

Maybe W shoud convince Laura to run for the presidency so he can get his third term. Oh… wait… that would be just like… nevermind.
