Lodge 560: Interesting, But Not a Patch

ehoa.jpgDavid Cody, current lodge adviser for Esawu Huppeday lodge, recently sent me an image of the item pictured here.  Several of these were made and recently distributed in recognition of exceptional service to the lodge over the past year.   It’s certainly creative and a visually attractive piece of lodge memorabilia.

This piece is about 3.75″ across and made of wood.  I don’t expect to see it listed in Blue Book as I don’t believe it would be considered a “patch”.

We jokingly thought about creating a new category for this item, just to play with some of my friends’ minds.   I had suggested “T” for timber as “W” (for wood?) is already used for another category. ;)

"Mathematics has beauties of its own -- a symmetry and proportion in its results, a lack of superfluity, an exact adaptation of means to ends, which is exceedingly remarkable and to be found only in the works of the greatest beauty When this subject is properly ... presented, the mental emotion should be that of enjoyment of beauty, not that of repulsion from the ugly and the unpleasant."
