Computer CRASH Update

I received the bad news a little while ago.   The primary hard drive in one of my computers appears to have suffered a head crash.   Since professional recovery is not a practical option, all data on it can be considered lost.

If you have sent me email recently, and were expecting a response even if to acknowledge receipt of images, and have not heard from me that means your email is probably lost.  Now would be a good time to resend it, please, if you haven’t done so already.

As my email address book was lost, in addition to all saved emails — a big personal loss for me – it would hurt to write just to say, “Hi” and so I can get your address again.

Some of those saved emails were messages about how to do various computer and personal type things I don’t do often enough to remember.   That now is all gone.   That will hurt.

Projects and images in progress were on a secondary, and older, hard drive.   While that drive will not fit in the bay of my newer desktop computer, I was able to copy all the data.

On the way home from my Friday night dinner, I stopped by a local office big box store and bought a new Maxtor 500 GB external USB hard drive, for a good price.  The sad part was I almost did this the day before my computer crashed.   This will be set to back up key data from my remaining desktop computer.

The functionality of OAImages.com is unaffected by all this.  The site runs on a remotely located server that I own.
