Time for a New Server
I’m sure many of you have had some trouble getting on this site in recent weeks. For that I apologize.
The server this site runs on is now six years old, aging, and unable to keep up with the demands put upon it. Some of the software can no longer be upgraded due to the age of the operating system here. Some possible new features can’t be implemented for the same reason It’s past time for a new server.
Your help is needed. I have been expecting this eventuality and putting aside some of the subscription and advertising fund but that is not enough to pay for the server I think I need. So, I am setting up a New Server Fund and accepting donations to it via PayPal. If you wish to donate to the new server, please click the button below.

As an added bonus if you contribute $25 or more, I will send you my lodge’s (Tsoiotsi Tsogalii 70) 2004 or 2006 NOAC set. For those very kind-hearted friends, if you donate $50 I’ll send either both sets or your choice of one set and a Tsalagi 163 S8a. Please send me your mailing address via email (jpannell at oaimages dot com) and let me know which item you want.
It is my hope to purchase the new server within a month’s time. That should allow me to have it up and running in late March or early April. The current server will be shipped back home to me and be maintained as a backup server, probably accessible to at least some by IP address, and as a testing ground for my own use.
This site has now been up and running for almost 11 years. Please consider showing your appreciation with a donation to the new server fund. Thank you for your support.

Sent $50. I’ll bet that many others besides me began to realize just how important OAI is to the hobby. I salute you.
If you have plenty, I could use the 70 2004 NOAC 2 pc and the 163 S8a.

I hit the donate button too.
Realized what it would mean not to have access to the site earlier this week when it went down and I couldn’t just check OA Images for the answer.
Put my patch on eBay and use the proceeds for the site too.
