AOL Blocking Mail

It has recently come to my attention that America Online is block email from this server.   This means AOL users may not receive any of the mail generated by this server.  This includes initial passwords for new members, notice of a changed password or email address, renewal reminds, or user created PDFs.

This has happened before.   It happens whenever the marketing folks there decide they need to control spam.   It doesn’t do all that much to control spam, but it sure makes management feel good for having “done something” about it.

Usually after a period of time the block stops and mail goes through again.   Until then, there’s not too much I can do.   I’ll try to forward any messages I see but I know from past experience I will not see all affected emails.

I encourage all subscribers to not use an AOL email address for this site.
