Man’s Collection Overtakes Home

Pannell on April 8th, 2008 at 12:02 pm There was a recent Reuters story about a German man whose passion for collecting all sorts of stuff lead to him being unable to live in his own home. I’m not a psychiatrist but clearly he was suffering from some sort of obsessive compulsive disorder:
BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man was such an avid collector of weapons and other paraphernalia that he ran out of space at home and had to sleep in a hotel, neighbors said following the 71-year-old’s death…
“Yes, we have to divide up our time like that, between our politics and our equations. But to me our equations are far more important, for politics are only a matter of present concern. A mathematical equation stands forever.”
