Lodge 185: 2008 Dixie Fellowship

Atta Kulla Kulla, like Skyuka and Muscogee lodges, issued only an odd-shaped patch for this year’s Dixie Fellowship. Thanks to Greg Grimes for sending the image.
I can’t quite figure out what the whippoorwill is supposed to be doing on this patch. It looks like he’s striking a cowbell? Why the lavender and pink shirt? Maybe I’d understand the design better if I was there. Can someone fill me in on this?
