Tour d’EPO?

A third rider in this year’s Tour De France was removed from the Tour for doping.    Gee, do you think there’s a drug problem in professional cycling? ;)

1961 Area 6-A Fellowship

1961 6-A PatchThe eight lodges of Area 6-A once again met for their area fellowship in 1961.  Croatan 117 hosted this event at Camp Lejeune.  This was the first 6-A fellowship to be held at a military base instead of a the host lodge’s camp as had become customary.

The patch issued for this event is shown here.   As we move into the 1960s, these patches become easier to acquire.   Some patience is still required to find one of these in a truly mint condition.  The white background has a tendency to discolor over time due to age, poor storage conditions, or exposure to smoke.
