Lodge 104: New Monochrome Prototypes

104 YS3?In 2005 Occoneechee lodge issued a blue monochrome flap (S58) in order to help raise funds for a proposed new lodge building.   This was to be the first of several such patches, issued one at a time at lodge events.   However the lodge leadership changed.  The new officers were not so keen on this idea and no further monochrome flaps were issued.  That will soon change.

The lodge will issue four more monochrome flaps.  In preparation for these issues Shelby Patch Company produced four different prototypes.   Two copies of each were made.  One set remains in Shelby’s archive.  Occoneechee lodge owns the other set.   There has been some thought given to the lodge auctioning its set of prototypes, like they did for the S58 prototype (YS2?).

I propose the following listing data for these four flaps:

Issue Bdr Color/Type Bkgd Name fdl/BSA Comments
YS3? GRN R LGR GRN GRN fdl; interior of antennae different shade than background
YS4? ORG R LOR ORG ORG fdl; interior of antennae different shade than background
YS5? LPR R LVI LPR LPR fdl; interior of antennae different shade than background
YS6? RED R SAM RED RED fdl; interior of antennae different shade than background

Were there specific changes requested between the prototypes and the final patches? Or will the issued patches be indistinguishable from the prototypes?
