1954 Area 3C Pow Wow
In 1954, the lodges of Virginia met as Area 3C for the second time, at Camp Rock Enon in Gore, Virginia. Shenshawpotoo Lodge #276 hosted the Pow Wow. A pocket-flap patch featuring an arrow going through an apple was issued for the event; this was the first Area 3C patch and is the only flap-shaped conclave patch from Region 3.
A 1954 Rock Enon leather neckerchief slide was also issued at the Pow Wow; the same slide may have also been used for other purposes at the camp that year.
With the return of Nentico #12 to Area 3A in 1954, there were nine lodges remaining in Area 3C:
- Nawakwa 3
- Nentico 12
- Koo Koo Ku Hoo 161
- Shenandoah 258
- Shenshawpotoo 276
- Blue Heron 349
- Powhatan 456
- Kecoughtan 463
- Amangamek Wipit 470
- Chanco 483
The first vigils for the then three-year-old Amangamek Wipit Lodge #470 were conducted at the 1954 3C Pow Wow.
