1947 Area J Fellowship Meeting Slide
For the third consecutive year Echockotee lodge would host the Area J Fellowship Meeting in November 1947. A leather neckerchief slide, much easier to read than the 1946 piece, was issued. Thanks to Robert Mathis for the image of this piece.
According to McLean and Riddle the following lodges were in Area J in 1946:
- Seminole 85
- Tomo Chi-Chi 119
- Echockotee 200
- Chattahoochee 204
- Calusa 219
- Chawtaw 229
- Aal-Pa-Tah 237
- Suriarco 239
- Wehadkee 273
- Tipisa 326
- Hiawassee 333
- Timuquan 340
- Immokalee 353
Immokalee lodge was added to this area in 1947. Suriarco lodge would change its name to Semialachee in 1948. Chawtaw lodge would become Pilthlako in 1950. Lodge 265 was not active and would not be recharted until 1955.
According to McLean and Riddle no Area J fellowship was held in 1948. No reason is given for this.
