1956 Area 3B Meeting
In 1956, the lodges of Area 3B in northwestern Pennsylvania met at Camp Agawam, near New Castle. The meeting was hosted by Packanke Lodge #419, which had not previously served as a host lodge.
The event emblem was a simple embroidered round patch, in white twill with a red design featuring a representation of the Indian chief who was the lodge totem.
While there were no changes in the makeup of Area 3B, 1956 was approximately the point at which lodge 256 from the Colonel Drake Council in Oil City changed its name from “Deer Rock” to “Skanando Inyan”.
