Jimmy Arthurs knows I collect and like bullions so he sent along an advance image of the bullion that will be issued for the 2009 Dixie Fellowship. The item is in hand but has not issued it yet. It is worth sharing here nonetheless.
I’m impressed with how this turned out. The colors are striking for a bullion and is a nice take on the design of this lodge’s early flaps. The color scheme is rather similar to that on the 560 M1.
My only possible complaint revolves around my opinion of the construction. The B1 is very thick and substantial in the style of earlier OA bullions and even more contemporary local pieces like the 459 B1. From a higher resolution image I have, this item appears to be much thinner and not as sturdy, rather like the 104 bullions. It appears delicate and I wonder how it will stand up over time. I guess I need to wait until I actually get my hands on this.
As it has now been confirmed, this item is an issue of SR-5 and not Eswau Huppeday lodge. As such, it does not get included in the lodge’s issues in Blue Book or this site.

Why would this be Eswau’s B2? I didn’t think that conclave patches/memorabilia are typically listed as lodge issues.

See specifically item 9 on page 9, and more importantly the list of items on page 15. I’m awaiting clarification from my sources in Eswau, but this sure looks like a neat looking section item. As such it would NOT be listed as an issue of Eswau Huppeday lodge.
THis is not an Eswau Huppeday lodge issue and should not be B2. It is part of the 2009 Dixie Fellowship collection

All the same, no Lodge 560 collection would be complete without it. Even if seperatly noted in the collection as a “Host” item. Very attracive piece.
