2009 Conclave Campsite Host Patch

Rick Pridgen has sent word and an image of yet another patch related to last April’s 2009 SR-7B conclave, aka the Cardinal Conclave.     Rick reports that this patch was issued by Nayawin Rar lodge for those who worked as campsite hosts.     Thanks, Rick.   I have since been hit with a small deluge of emails from other collectors about whether or not this patch was an authorized issue of Nayawin Rar lodge.

The patch was produced after the conclave for those Scouts and Scouters who assisted with campsite host duties.     Some of these were not arrowmen.   Nayawin Rar is a very small lodge and I am told they enlisted the aid of non-Arrowmen to help with their service lodge duties.

Based upon my email, emotions are running high over this piece.     I am reserving my opinion on this patch for the time being.     I have no reason to doubt the veracity of what others have told me, but their information seems to be contradictory.   If Rick has the complete information on this patch it will probably be listed as the lodge’s X3.

I encourage those who wrote me to share publicly what they know about this piece.

There were 200 of these made. They were issued POST Conclave. Each Camp Site Host Committee member and troop staff were issued 1 each. Each contributing vendor was given one or two. Each committee member and Camp Site Host group were given the opportunity to purchase more if they wanted them. The VERY FEW remaining patches were placed in the scout office for sale. There are NONE left as of this posting.
