The activities listings of Tomo Chi-Chi lodge haven’t been updated in a few years.   Presumably this was because of a general lack of information about new issues from this lodge.    I suspected the listings were out of date but neither I nor the SC Blue Book editor had any more recent information.

It amazes me that Scouts today still look to Elvis Presley for patch design ideas.   I can remember when listening to your parents’ music was a “bad thing”.   Perhaps this is evidence of the quality of today’s artists? ;)

Thanks to Alan McDonald for providing these images of two additional flaps issued by Tomo Chi-Chi lodge last Spring for the 2007 Dixie Fellowship.

Both were earned by brothers who provided significant service to the lodge.   The blue bordered flap was for 15 hours’ service.   30 hours’ service was required to earn the yellow bordered flap.

It isn’t just issues from NOAC that come out late!  I have just received word that Tomo Chi-Chi lodge has issued a host lodge flap for last April’s Dixie Fellowship (SR-5 Conclave).  Thanks to Alan McDonald for the news and images.

To be honest, the flap didn’t come out this late.  It just took this long for word of the patch to make it to me here in central North Carolina.

Category IconTomo-Chi-Chi 2006 Events Issues

Posted in SR-5 Lodges, Tomo Chi Chi 119 by John E. Pannell on January 9th, 2007 at 3:26 am

This is part of my year end round up of lodge events issues for this past year for the lodges of SR-7B and SR-5. For some lodges I have no information, so unless someone tells me what event patches their lodge has made this past year the update will be very short.

This is a very short update.   To my knowledge Tomo-Chi-Chi issued no events patches in 2006.  Historically this lodge would issue a patch each year for its annual meeting.  However, none have been added to Blue Book since the 65th Annual Meeting in 2003.   If anyone know of more recent patches, especially if you can supply images of them, please let me know.
